Ho Ho Ho!

Here is our recap of the holidays.

Addison received all kinds of great gifts for Christmas. She was so excited about the holidays that she dressed up as Santa Claus and handed out presents to everyone!

Wow! Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins picked out this really cool Alphabet Train! Addison likes to dance when it starts singing the alphabet.

Fun in the Snow!

Addison was so excited to wake up and find that little white flakes had fallen from the heavens and made a wonderful wonderland of fun! Sixteen whole inches of snow fun! We all got bundled up and headed out for some sledding on Daddy's stand up paddle board. It is big enough for all of us, very stable and can get some good speed when the hill is big enough. Since the roads were still unplowed by our house on Saturday, we stayed home and played on our "hill" in the front yard. Addison absolutely loved sledding and squealed in delight every time we made a run.

Even when we are playing in the snow... more tongue... She has decided it is more fun to stick her tongue out than to give me a kiss when I ask for one.

More Fun in the Snow

We had all kinds of snow this winter! We went sledding a number of times and had so much fun!

A TOOTH!

While playing with Addison on the bed this afternoon, I noticed she had sprouted a tooth. Her very first tooth at 10 1/2 months! Luke and I spent the rest of the day trying to get a picture of it and this evening, right before bed, I had success. Look closely and you will see the tiny little ridges poking out of her gums. This was such a surprise! I was pretty sure Addison was just going to be a little toothless wonder the rest of her life.

Pictures with Santa!!.... uh oh...

We took Addison downtown on Friday to get her picture taken with Santa Claus. I went into this experience knowing it wasn't going to go over very well. I bet Santa Claus can be just as scary as a clown to a little kid!

"NO WAY I am going to smile, but I won't scream since Mommy is here now..."

Kissy, Kissy!

Addison has learned how to give kisses. She loves to give kisses to just about anyone and everyone! I have been trying to teach her to make the sound of a bomb exploding after I whistle a high to low pitch, but she sees my puckered lips and gives kisses instead.

Thanksgiving

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Daddy's side of the family. Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins came to Blacksburg to visit. My Aunt Meg and Uncle Dan came for the holiday festivities as well. We went for walks in the woods at the Jaasma farm and had a huge Thanksgiving dinner. I sure do love turkey!

Here I am in the back yard with my new winter vest and the hat that my mommy knitted for me. Now I can be extra warm on all of our outings!

Here I am with my Aunt Meg and mommy hiking around in the quarry in our back yard. I am looking forward to seeing some snow this winter.

Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins gave me some new toys over Thanksgiving. They gave me foam building blocks. My favorite thing to do is take all the blocks out of the bag and put them all around me. If Daddy tries to put them back in the bag I will take them all back out again. I also got a roll and crawl ball that has been fun to play with as well. If I am getting presents for Thanksgiving I can't wait until Christmas!

I love bath time, my favorite part of getting ready for my bath is getting NAKED!
